Data collected through the contact form
When you write to me through the form I collect:
- name;
- email address;
- company (optional);
- the text of your message;
- your confirmation that you have read this notice.
- Purpose: to reply to your request and, if relevant, prepare a proposal.
- Legal basis: pre-contractual steps taken at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Retention: for as long as needed to handle the request and no longer than 24 months from the last contact. If we start working together, the data required are kept for the periods set by tax and accounting obligations.
Providing your data is optional, but without your name, email and message I cannot reply.
Browsing data
The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (United States), which temporarily logs technical data such as IP address, browser and requested pages for operational and security reasons. Netlify also receives the messages sent through the form and acts as data processor. Data transfers to the United States rely on the safeguards provided by the GDPR (EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses).
Google Analytics 4
If you accept it in the banner, I use Google Analytics 4 to learn, in aggregate, how many people visit the site, where they come from and which content they read. I also record a few events: contact form submissions, CV downloads, clicks on the email, LinkedIn and nitech.it links.
- Provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
- Purpose: statistics.
- Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code). Without consent the Google script is not loaded and no analytics cookie is set.
- Transfer to the US: data may be processed by Google LLC in the United States, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
- Retention: 14 months.
- Advertising: advertising signals are turned off and data are not used for ad profiling.

The site uses no profiling cookies and no social network cookies.
How to change or withdraw your consent
You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page: if you choose Reject, Google Analytics is turned off and its cookies are deleted. You can also delete cookies from your browser settings.
Your rights
Under Articles 15-22 GDPR you can ask for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and you can object to processing. You can withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.
To exercise your rights, write to info@mariomuti.com. I reply within one month.
If you believe the processing infringes the GDPR, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it (opens in a new tab)).
